Finished The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray... The concept was interesting the book was honestly mediocre. It ended like... "asking for sequel/trilogy" but no.

Now started Sputnik Sweetheart, by Murakami. I just love to buy good books for 1€ =D

Now reading 'Skeleton Crew' by Stephen King. It's a collection of short stories (although 'The Mist' seems to be more of a novella).
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:
"Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde
"Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro
"Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay
"Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna
"Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti
"Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one
"Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz

Finnegans Wake, this time I'm going to finish it. I hope. I have to fight the urge to sing it out loud as I read it.

I'm presently attempting Proust's À la recherche du temps perdu (a.k.a Remembrance of Things Past, or In Search of Lost Time). I doubt I'll make it very far, considering my poor habits, but it's surprisingly readable so far despite all the archaic phrasings and flowery prose. I'm going to at least try to get through Swann's Way, the first volume.

Wish me luck.

~ By Robin Hobb

I'm waiting on the last book from the Song of the Tears trilogy,The Destiny of the Dead, by Ian Irvine which is being released sometime this month. I've read the first two quartets (The View from the Mirror and The Well of Echoes) and can't wait to see how this ends, but I think there might be another series after this one. Also planning on reading Brisingr by Christopher Paolini.

Done.

Now reading "King Solomon's Ring" by Konrad Lorenz (aka the Prophet of Ethology). The book is gorgeous, despite all the biased and outdated stuff about dogs. Really charming, but if you read it don't trust anything about "species" (because nowadays we have genetic tracing and he didn't)

Lol I just got the Divine Comedy from my library today. xD Unfortunately I don't know enough Italian to read the original (I got a bilingual edition). Is it interesting translated or I should try it later?

Abandoned this book. Wasn't interesting enough to keep me reading. A lot of the stories ended flatly, ruining any potential enjoyment :/

Going to start Sharon Creech's new book Hate That Cat tonight~ SHUT UP, SHE'S AWESOME :DDD

Also, if my sixth grade teacher is reading, I WOULD LIKE MY COPY OF 'LOVE THAT DOG' BACK PLXKTHNX~ xD

It's a good read no matter what. Unfortunately I'm not in the least bit fluent in Italian either so I can't give you an evaluation of just how good it might be compared to the original.

But on that note, ditto to Zyro, although, it's only my second re-reading. Unfortunately, since I'm on Inferno (and Inferno being my favorite of the three), nothing besides internet articles seems to interest me enough to take up a second book for now.

My friend did recently send me an online copy of the book Flowers for Algernon though (asking if I'd ever read it). Surprisingly, I didn't recognize the title at first and it wasn't until I got a few journal entries in that all those memories from sixth grade required reading came flooding back. It was also a great (though seemingly much quicker than I remember, heh) re-read, overall.

Done and loved it. Stories about animals, even when they are told by the eye of a naturalist, always make me cry. T^T Recommended.

Now started Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" (because it's handier than the Divine Comedy, easier to transport and therefore to read in class ^^) I think I've fallen in love with my deluxe gloss paper illustrated edition.

Yes, I quite enjoyed "The Art of War". If you enjoy that, may I recommend "Book of Five Rings" by Miyamoto Musashi.

I just bought a complete works of his at a used book store the other day. The Raven is wonderful. As far as his short stories go, I really enjoy the Masque of Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Pit and the Pendulum.

Gold Bug was never my favorite though.

Thankee, I'll add it to my to-read list.

However I will have to make a break on pre-christian phylosophy (damn, it is really interesting...) to read as fast as I can "Watership Down", that my friend lent to me.

When I get lent books I like to read and return them as fast as I can...

Lol, the irony. xD

Finished Watership Down and it is amazing. How can someone not like this book. I'm sad I haven't read it earlier, I would have enjoyed it even more. I love it and, since there are some play adaptations, I'm now hunting for them. I loved the book so much that I am looking to buy a copy for myself. =) And the translation was simply gorgeous so I'll also write the publisher congratulating their translator.

Now back to the "Art of War"!

Indeed. Congrats! That just happens to be my favorite book.

I'm rather enjoying Swann's Way, but there are moments in which I curse Proust for his tangents and descriptive minutiae. The man could spend a whole page writing what most would in only a few words. It's no wonder his sentences are so freakishly long, not to mention that it took him around fifteen years and several thousand pages to finish the whole thing.

I will finish this.
